Jaida Pryor, Student Member

Jaida Pryor is a student in the Master of Marriage and Family Therapy program at Texas Woman’s University. She has been a student member of TAMFT for one year, and she looks forward to continued membership and service within the organization. Jaida will complete her clinical internship at the UT Southwestern Family Studies Center, focusing on medical family therapy. Additional clinical interests include working with collegiate student-athletes and their families and those impacted by incarceration. Before matriculating into TWU’s MFT program, Jaida graduated from Duke University (B.A., English), where she was an intern for two summers in the Wrongful Convictions Clinic at Duke University’s School of Law. This experience ushered her into a deeper understanding of the importance of thinking systemically. Jaida is passionate about service, advocacy, equity, and holistic wellness, and she hopes to offer useful perspectives from her social location as a student and Black woman. Jaida is ready and committed to serving and supporting the body of future marriage and family therapists in Texas through graduate school, into licensure, and beyond.
