Dr. Cynthia M. Jefferson is an Assistant Professor of Practice in Counseling and Addiction Recovery Sciences at Texas Tech University. She earned her Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Tech and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in ethics, diversity, addictions, eating disorders, and systemic treatment. Her research focuses on addiction recovery, disordered eating, and family functioning, with presentations at national and international conferences. A Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and clinical supervisor, Dr. Jefferson is committed to mentoring students, advancing inclusive excellence, and integrating research, teaching, and clinical practice to support individual and family well-being.
