About the Speaker:

Gary Patton, Ph.D.

Gary L. Patton, Ph.D., is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Kentucky and West Virginia and is a well-respected professor. He teaches doctoral-level Neuroanatomy and Behavioral Medicine and Ethical and Legal Issues in Counseling and Supervision. He has extensive experience in the implementation and coordination of integrative care in hospital settings and beyond. Dr. Patton has served as a Certified Investigator on the West Virginia Board of Examiners in Counseling. He has also served with the FBI and has a heart for protecting the vulnerable. In 2014, Dr. Patton was awarded the Counselor Educator of the Year award by the Kentucky Counseling Association. This year, he was the keynote speaker for the Kentucky Counseling Association annual conference. Dr. Patton has a natural gift of storytelling, and his stories inspire and encourage all types of helping professionals to become their best professional selves.
