Your TAMFT Board is proud to represent you by attending regular TSBEMFT meetings. You may download a full report of the most recent TSBEMFT meeting here.
Meeting Summary:
- As of February 1, paper applications for new license or an upgrade will no longer be accepted. Applications must all be submitted online after that date.
- The board considered reducing or eliminating the 500-hour limit on direct client contact through technology-assisted services for LMFT Associates in light of the effects of COVID-19. While there is some interest in making a temporary change in light of extraordinary circumstances, the board is opposed to eliminating that limit altogether. The board needed more time to consult with legal counsel and the Governor’s office about their options for a temporary change. They did not take action in this meeting but agreed to bring more information to the next meeting and continue the discussion.
- An ad hoc Workgroup is likely to be formed by BHEC to help determine what matters regarding licensure should be standardized across the boards. In addition to the four mental health boards, the workgroup will consist of representatives from other stakeholder organizations. TAMFT wishes to be one such organization and request a seat at the table.
